SG Family Weekend

September 4 or 5 - September 7, 2026

Registration Opens January 15th

2026 Theme:  Hands in Harmony:

Woven in Creation, the Work of Our Hands and Song of Our Hearts

This years theme invites us to notice and nurture the good that surrounds us.

Through music, craft, and prayer, we discover how creation becomes a source of beauty and resilience. Each song, each stitch, and each shared prayer reminds us that harmony is possible even when life feels out of rhythm. Hands in Harmony celebrates the creative spirit within us and the community we build together. As we lift our voices, shape with our hands, and pause in prayer, we find both joy and strength—

a reminder that hope is always being woven through us and the world around us.

Speaker of the week - Artist in Residence: Amy Turner

Amy is an art educator and practicing artist based in northern New Hampshire, where she lives with her husband and four dogs. As a graduate of Plymouth State University, she developed a deep appreciation for connecting fine art and design with everyday life.  Amy is passionate about nurturing creativity, confidence, and emotional growth, encouraging students to see art not only as something they create, but as something they live.  She is excited to collaborate with Mandy Freeburg-Lape to create meaningful, spiritually connected artwork.

Minister of the Week: Reverend Mandy Lape-Freeberg,

Senior Pastor at The Church of Christ at Dartmouth College, UCC

We are delighted to have Reverend Mandy Lape-Freeberg as our Minister of the Week once again for our gathering this year. Since becoming the Senior Pastor at The Church of Christ at Dartmouth College, UCC, Reverend Mandy has seamlessly woven the foundational elements of faith tradition into the fabric of everyday life. Her deep passion for theology and her engaging conversations about faith are not just enlightening but also deeply relevant to the personal and communal challenges we face. We explore how theological tools can enhance our daily lives with greater joy and clarity.

This years conference will include hands-on projects for adults and youth, inviting us to work with texture, color, and form as a spiritual and reflective practice. We will sing together, share stories, and make space for personal and communal reflection that connects our time on island with our lives beyond it. Whether you come ready to sew, sing, paint, reflect—or simply rest—this week offers a gentle, creative space to be renewed in body, mind, and spirit.

Contact the Registrar on the Registration page with any conference-specific questions.
